Welcome to All My Young Readers:
Both in age and heart.
First
things first. Make sure you have your parent's permission to be on
this site. If you don't have permission, go and get it. I would love
nothing more than to hear what's on your minds regarding my books (or
any books for that matter) and to answer your questions. But only if
you have permission to do so.

My name is Brandon Charles West and I am an author and a firefighter. My book
Scarlet and the Keepers of the Light,
while older folk like myself might and will enjoy it, was written for
you. I enjoy reading to my daughters an awful lot and I love to write.
Before Scarlet I wrote mostly books for adults to read. And then...I
got smart. I realized that I could combine my love of writing and
sharing books with my children. Scarlet was born and I have never had
more fun writing than I have had since I started writing about her quest
to save our world and Satorium.

I
have two daughters who love art, books and...well, a lot of the things
that you probably like. Below I've posted some of my eldest daughter's
artwork. Creativity is extremely important and I would encourage
everyone to try and use your imagination at least once a day, even if
you think you might be too old for it. After all, I'm kinda old and I
use my imagination all day long. If there is something you'd like to
share, artwork, a story, a poem or a song, feel free to post it in the
comments. Who knows, several years from now, you may be the one writing
a blog about your work.

Speaking
of Scarlet and the Keepers of the Light, I thought you might like to
know what the two dogs who inspired the characters Dakota and Cricket
look like. I have three dogs at my house and the two who I like to call
mine (the labradoodle, Indiana, is more for my wife and daughter's) are
a large German Shepherd named Leah and a Black Labrador named Banjo.
And here they are...

At
the bottom of the page is a video of of Leah's most favorite thing to
do in the whole world. She will play frisbee all day long if you let
her. Banjo's favorite thing to do is snuggle...and eat.
Thank you and keep on reading.
